I would think he could say: I would like to introduce my wife, Lady Elizabeth Browning.
How about it, everyone?

He would use her first name only if she has a Lady Firstname title. If he is the Earl of Twitter, for example, he would likely introduce his wife as Lady Twitter. If he is a plain Mr. Tweet who married Gertrude, the daughter of the Earl of Twitter, he would introduce her as, "my wife, Lady Gertrude." She gets to keep her courtesy title even if she marries down. Just remember that in the introduction, the lower ranking person, regardless of gender, is always presented TO the higher ranker person. _________________

i did remember that part. so it would be "lord x, may i present my friend, miss gertrude bigglesworth" and then lord x would say "this is my wife, lady x." |

Didn't look up my print out of Forms of Address from Wikipedia for that one.
I better go back to lurking.
