Since computers or tv weren't around then, just what kind of activities did Regency children do? What kind of games did they have? _________________ Kay |

Same things we had when I was a kid. (Oh Lord, I feel old!) Board games, spillikins (similar to pick-up sticks), badminton (called battledore and shuttlecock), blind man's buff, charades, hide and seek, card games, hoops, dolls. I once saw a wonderful Regency paperdoll book on the UK version of Antique Roadshow.
So, other than electronics, bikes, and all things plastic, not much has changed. _________________

They had "sports", too. They had skating and curling (if they lived in the right places), and riding (this is how I spent LARGE parts of my childhood). Boys might have had fencing lessons. _________________ -Kalen
