“Walking Dress.”
In the very brief description of this ensemble, shown below, it names what looks to be an over-dress or tunic as a coat. Perhaps it is so called because it has long sleeves? The under-dress is said to be of spotted muslin, but it is shown as simple white muslin. It’s a very pretty outfit, but it would be nice to see a front view to better understand the outer garment.
The print is described in the magazine as follows:
“Spotted muslin under-dress, over which a light coat, bordered with cerulean blue. Blue silk head-dress, bound round with silver cords and tassels. Blue silk scarf, lined with white; silver border and tassels. White shoes edged with blue. York tan gloves.”
